This a shot of my dining nook table taken with the camera on my fancy smart phone.  So why the fake Polaroid frame and artsy lens effect?  I’m not sure; it looks better this way.  I think part of the appeal is the recognition that the phones camera takes a certain quality of photo not quite real, yet aesthetically unsatisfactory.
